Paraffin therapy

Enjoy unbelievable treatment of your arms and legs

Leg or arm paraffin packs are a procedure that combines healing and aesthetic effects. While the pack is applied, exchange of heat and effective minerals takes place between the pack and the client's skin, as a result of which its perfusion is improved and it is softened. Paraffin also has largely beneficial effects on autonomic nervous system, as nerve-endings can be found in palms of hands. Paraffin contributes to perfusion, it increases metabolism and stretches and softens the skin. It exfoliates a little (removes the keratic skin) and it also warms the skin. Through regular paraffin packs the clients will achieve stronger fingernails, beautiful silky skin, as well as relief to smaller joints and stiff wrist. Hand care is often neglected, even though the age of a woman can be easily guessed by looking at her hands.

Prior to the paraffin pack it is recommended to apply peeling treatment of the arms which would remove dead skin cells. Then the hands are dipped up to wrists in warm paraffin for a few seconds. Then they are taken out and dipped again at least three times, until the wax has covered the skin uniformly. The treated skin shall be wrapped in plastic and terry cloth glove. If we do it this way, the wax warmth will remain effective for a longer period of time.

The pack shall remain on for 10 to 20 minutes. Once this period of time has expired the wax can be peeled off easily.

What is paraffin?

Paraffin is a special vitamin E enriched wax. It is famous for its heat retaining capabilities. It melts at the temperature of 52-62°C. Its effects are both healing and aesthetic. The paraffin layer warms up, increases blood circulation and opens pores. The skin is then able to absorb moisturizing and nutrient elements of cosmetic preparations.
